The Core Survival HEL-STAR 620 Series is a compact helmet-mounted marker light designed for military, airborne, MFF, tactical, and identification applications. It combines visible and infrared signaling functions in a single housing, with multiple factory-programmed output configurations available in this listing.

Each HEL-STAR 620 provides four selectable functions arranged across two operating modes. Unlike the 640 Series, the 620 uses a locking clip at the front of the housing to restrict access between the two function groups. This allows the operator to select a preferred mode set while reducing the possibility of unintentionally switching between visible and infrared functions.

Available configurations combine green, white, and infrared outputs in steady, flashing, dim, bright, and combined modes. The exact A1, A2, B1, and B2 functions depend on the selected SKU.

Visible and Infrared Signaling

The HEL-STAR 620 Series supports both overt visible identification and infrared signaling for use with compatible night-vision equipment. Different factory configurations provide different combinations of color, intensity, and flash behavior.

620 Series Locking Mode Control

The distinguishing feature of the HEL-STAR 620 is its front locking clip. The clip restricts access between the two operating modes and requires deliberate repositioning before the alternate function group can be selected.

This differs from the HEL-STAR 640 Series, which uses a detented mode switch intended for faster switching between Mode A and Mode B in the field.

Helmet-Mounted Construction

The HEL-STAR platform is designed to provide multi-directional identification from a compact housing mounted close to the helmet. Separate mode and function controls can be identified by touch, allowing the light to be operated without relying on direct visual confirmation of the switches.
